Terms of Use

Effective 25 August 2026

The short version

Quiet Hours is a private gratitude diary. You keep what you write; we keep the app running. Please use it kindly and lawfully.

Your account

You need to be at least 13 to use Quiet Hours.

You can sign in with Google, Apple, or an email address and password to back up your diary across devices. You are responsible for keeping access to that account, and for the PIN you set inside the app.

One person per account. Don't use the app for anything unlawful, or try to break, overload, or reverse engineer it.

What you write is yours

You keep all rights to your entries and photos. You give us only the permission needed to store and show them back to you inside the app.

Membership and payments

Some features need a membership. Monthly and yearly memberships renew automatically until cancelled, and cancelling keeps your access until the end of the period you have already paid for. A lifetime membership is a one-off payment for access to the premium features of the app for as long as the app is offered.

Prices are shown before you pay. Payments and receipts are handled by Stripe.

Refunds

If something went wrong, write to tashahou8@gmail.com. Refunded purchases end the membership they paid for.

Backups are a convenience, not a vault

We take care with your diary, but no service can promise perfect availability. Keep your own copy of anything you could not bear to lose — the app can export your diary as a PDF.

Not medical advice

Quiet Hours is a journalling app for reflection. It is not therapy, and it is not a substitute for medical or mental-health care. If you are struggling, please reach out to a professional or a local support line.

Ending things

You can stop using Quiet Hours at any time. To clear everything held on a device, open Settings and tap “start fresh on this device” — that wipes the entries, settings and cached scenes stored there.

To have the account itself and its cloud backup removed, write to tashahou8@gmail.com from the address you signed in with and we will delete it.

We may suspend an account that is being used to harm the service or other people.

Changes and contact

These terms may change as the app changes; if they do, you will be asked to agree again the next time you sign in.
